Organization Profile

The Analyst Blog is an independent digital publication covering policy, security, geopolitics, technology and the global economy. Founded in 2026 by a group of analyst and researchers.  we combine the speed of a newsroom with the rigour of a think tank.

Our readers include policymakers, diplomats, security and intelligence professionals, investors, academics and engaged citizens in more than 120 countries. We are funded by reader subscriptions, institutional partnerships and clearly labelled advertising — never by the subjects we cover.

Our Mission

Our mission is to deliver insight beyond the headlines: context, data and expert judgement that turn breaking events into understanding.

  • Independence — no owner, advertiser or government shapes our editorial line.
  • Evidence — every claim is sourced; every dataset is published where possible.
  • Clarity — complex issues explained without jargon or sensationalism.
  • Impact — research that informs better decisions in policy and practice.

Editorial Policy

All content is produced under our editorial code, which is based on the principles of accuracy, fairness, independence and accountability.

Sourcing & verification

Factual claims are verified with at least two independent sources or primary documents. Anonymous sources are used only when the information is in the public interest and cannot be obtained otherwise; their identity is known to at least one editor.

Opinion & analysis

Opinion pieces are clearly labelled and reflect the views of their authors. Analysis pieces present evidence for competing interpretations before drawing conclusions.

Corrections

We correct errors promptly and transparently. Corrections are appended to the article with the date of the change. To report an error, use the contact form and select “Corrections”.

Conflicts of interest

Contributors must disclose any financial, political or personal interests related to the subject they cover.

Research Methodology

Our research desk follows a transparent, reproducible methodology.

  1. Question framing — every project begins with a clearly defined policy question and scope.
  2. Data collection — we combine open-source intelligence (OSINT), official statistics, structured interviews and field reporting.
  3. Analysis — quantitative methods (time-series, regression, network analysis) are paired with qualitative case studies.
  4. Peer review — research papers are reviewed by at least two external experts before publication.
  5. Open publication — papers are released with abstracts, citations, DOIs and, where possible, replication data.

Security alerts are graded using a four-level risk matrix (Critical, High, Medium, Low) that weighs likelihood against impact, and are reviewed at least every 72 hours until expiry.
